Purpose of the Database
There is increasing interest in the use of e-learning to support the training and education of the health and social care workforce. The purpose of this database is to capture and share details of e-learning programs that have been developed and are available for use within the health and care sector.
By accessing this database it is hoped that it will be helpful in:
• Sharing details of programs and resources being used to support the training and education of the health and care workforce
• Encourage the potential of shared developments and maximise public investment.
. Promote good practice in the development of e-learning programs and resources
• Prevent duplication,
Submitting a Database Entry
We would particular welcome enteries into this database that can meet the following critieria
- The program has been commissioned or purchased for use by a health or social care organisation.
The program content addresses;-
- Governance issues related to meeting key health and social care quality standards e.g. Health Care Commission Standards or Social care Commission Standards etc.
- Major transformational programmes e.g. National Programme for IT, Foundation Trust Status etc.
- 10 High Impact Changes (Service: http://www.wise.nhs.uk/cmsWISE/HIC and HR: HR high impact changes: An evidence based resource.
- Current health service priorities: including public health, long term conditions, health inequalities, 18 week wait, unscheduled care, better access to community services, independence and well-being, financial balance and productivity.
- Statutory Mandatory and critical learning needs, this would include statutory mandatory programs and programmes designed to meet the service/business priorities of organisations.
- Common CPD needs for the workforce; this would include programs that would help provide evidence of activity in respect of professional regulatory requirements.
